Policy relevant assessment of socio-economic effects of Droughts and Floods (PREEMPT)

This project is a policy-directed assessment exercise, to assist the relevant authorities to better appreciate the risks posed by droughts and floods by collecting the data about past disasters, filling the knowledge gaps – in particular the indirect and intangible economic and social losses – and by improving risk assessment methods and approaches in place in the participating countries.
The data collection will be performed in selected river basins of the 4 participating countries to create a catalogue of hydro-meteorological disasters of droughts and floods.
