Pakistan: supporting health workers in the Sindh province to tackle COVID-19

Like in many countries, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to shortages of medicines and medical supplies in Pakistan’s Sindh province. This made access to medical care even more challenging for patients, and especially for those living in remote areas.

With EU humanitarian funding, Concern Worldwide helped health facilities and enabled medical personnel in the far-flung districts of the southeastern Sindh province to treat their patients.

The programme ensured availability of medical supplies such as personal protective equipment, thermometres and face masks. Health camps were also set up to deliver necessary care to those most in need.
