Rap music to fight gender-based violence

Ahed is a Syrian refugee in Jordan. She has been living in the Zaatari refugee camp for 9 years.

After one of her friends was married as a child, she started rapping to raise awareness about early marriage and gender-based violence. In her words, ''if men can do it then women can do it too.''

Ahed often spends time at the EU-funded safe space for women and girls next to the reproductive health clinic, run by the United Nations Population Fund. Here, she feels inspired to use her voice for change.
