On 14 and 15 June, the EU is hosting the VII Brussels Conference on ‘Supporting the future of Syria and the region'. The conference will reiterate the continued support of the EU and the international community for the Syrian people, the Syrian refugees, and their host communities.

To tackle the worst wildfires in the last 10 years, Canada has activated the EU Civil Protection Mechanism requesting European assistance. In an immediate response, France, Portugal and Spain have offered almost 300 firefighters via the Mechanism.
