The project during its 10-month duration, aims to form train and prepare volunteers and professionals in combating marine pollution as a consequence of hydrocarbon's spills. By means of studying of previous accidents and experiences, search for literature and qualified professionals and volunteers, a matrix will be developed for the creation of the on-line tool to be made available in several languages (English, Spanish, French etc.
The e-learning 2-level course (basic and advanced) is intended to prepare rapidly and in an organised way experts in the field of oil spills, inside and outside the EU. The knowledge can be applied to natural and man-made disasters not only related to marine pollution but to other scenarios such as rivers, lakes, contaminated soil etc.
