The Commission announced today emergency funding of €2.5 million in humanitarian aid for Madagascar, Malawi and Mozambique, the 3 countries of the region that suffered the most damage from the 2 passages of tropical storm Freddy in February and March 2023.
Venezuelan crisis: Commission releases €75 million in humanitarian funding during the 2023 International Solidarity Conference
The funding will help people in need in Venezuela and communities in the neighbouring countries hosting migrants and refugees, with a focus on (i) food assistance, (ii) health, (ii) shelter, (iv) protection, (v) education, and (vi) legal assistance, among other areas.
