We are organising a media trip for journalists to Uganda, a country with one of the largest refugee populations in the world, and also a country implementing a unique policy towards refugees.

Newcomers are given plots of land and are free to leave the settlement whenever they want. The constant influx of new refugees however, has made tracts of arable land increasingly scarce.

EU support is crucial to providing life-saving humanitarian assistance to refugees, as well as to host communities.

The media trip will take place from 3 to 8 March 2024 (travel days included).

During the visit, journalists will be able to visit EU-funded humanitarian aid projects and speak to beneficiaries.

Please note that the number of spaces available for this media trip is limited.

Deadline for applications: Friday 26 January 2024, 17:00
