The project aims to improve the effectiveness of host nation support among the Participating States of the Civil Protection Mechanism through a detailed analysis of existing domestic legislation and regulation in Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia and Poland, regional table top exercises, and a regional workshop.
The various reports and the consultative process of the project are expected to result in significantly heightened attention to gaps in regulatory frameworks and provide recommendations to policy makers on how best to address these gaps at national as well as EU level.
